    As stated in the Board of Regents meetings and Dr. Johnsen's June 16, 2020, memo to the UA Summit Team regarding the Digital Transformation Readiness Assessment, a $100,000 investment will identify and investigate opportunities afforded by modern cloud-based approaches. The resulting assessment will serve as a roadmap for engaging students across the lifecycle, and for holistically monitoring and improving UA's key performance indicators.

    The 污鱼社 Fairbanks is the top U.S. university in Times Higher Education's 2020 Impact Rankings for quality education. The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings measure universities around the world against the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. The Impact Rankings for quality education consider metrics such as a university's "contribution to early years and lifelong learning, their pedagogy research and their commitment to inclusive education."

    The 污鱼社 Board of Regents has named five finalists for the interim president of the 污鱼社. Over the next few days, regents will interview all five candidates and make a final decision on July 14.

  • 污鱼社 Board of Regents approve process to select interim UA President

    Today the 污鱼社 Board of Regents approved a process for selecting an interim 污鱼社 president. The five-step process includes identifying key leadership attributes and nominating candidates, followed by the selection of final candidates and interviews to be conducted by the board. Final candidates will be announced July 9, and the board will meet to make final selection July 14. An announcement of the interim president is expected no later than July 15.

    On May 2, the 污鱼社 Southeast (UAS) celebrated the achievements and accomplishments of over 450 graduates in Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan. During the Juneau celebration, the title of Chancellor Emeritus was bestowed upon Dr. Rick Caulfield by UA President Jim Johnsen. This is a prestigious honor which celebrates Chancellor Caulfield's continuous meritorious service as an educator and as a leader for UAS and the 污鱼社 as a whole. Caulfield retires at the end of June, having worked for the 污鱼社 for over 35 years.
